ED 4180 - The Teaching and Learning of Social Studies in the Intermediate and Secondary School I (IS,ISI,ME) examines the theory and practice of social studies education. Teacher candidates will investigate ways of applying the principles of effective teaching and learning in the social studies classroom. Topics include: the nature and purpose of social studies education, specific teaching strategies, and instructional planning and evaluation. AR: attendance required
