Combining theory and field work, this course focuses on the factors that affect plant species in communities and ecosystems: resource availability, species interaction, and environmental change. Using real data, students will learn numerical analysis techniques to investigate relationships between plants and their environment. Topics include plant adaptations, conservation issues, global change, and ecological restoration.
