CSCI 3461

This course is an introduction to database systems. Topics include: data models such as the entity-relationship model, the relational model, and noSQL models; database languages; theory of database design; indexing; and transaction processing. Other topics may be included, such as query optimization, database control, and distributed database systems. Classes 3 hrs. and recitation 1.5 hrs. per week.
