Students develop skills and competencies in gathering, synthesizing and processing big data to inform decision making in the provision of care, and improving systems and operations used in healthcare organizations and practices. Students engage on real world situations and challenges facing healthcare, in particular, patient outcomes, wait time management and resource allocation and utilization. Insights gained through this course will be of value to healthcare professionals, leaders, managers and administrators and ultimately enhance the systems and processes used by healthcare organizations and practices in the delivery of healthcare excellence.
