Technology is both an enabler and driver of change in organizations. This course explores the relationship between technology, innovation, and organizational change. Emphasis is placed on selecting technological opportunities and understanding the organizational challenges that prevent technologies from being successful. Topics include the industry dynamics of technological innovation, standards battles and platform competition, steps to protect technological innovations, technology deployment strategies, and technology life cycles and obsolescence.
