Gaelic Language & Culture I

This course is an introduction to the Gaelic language and culture of Scotland and Nova Scotia for students with no prior knowledge of the language. Students will learn the basics of spoken and written Gaelic as well as aspects of Gaelic culture rooted in the language. Credit will be granted for only one of CELT 101 or CELT 100. Three credits. Offered 2026-2027.
