CELT 319

This course is an examination of traditional music from the six Celtic countries with emphasis on Scotland, Ireland, and Cape Breton, including Gaelic song, bagpipe, fiddle, and harp music. We will also explore the development of the “Celtic Music” genre in North America. Credit will be granted for only one of CELT 319, CELT 219 or CELT 253. Cross-listed as MUSI 319. Three credits.
