Advanced Organic Chemistry

This course will examine the role of structure and energetics of intermediates in reaction mechanisms. Several important classes of reactions will be analyzed in detail with respect to stereoelectronic effects, and methodology used for determining organic reaction mechanisms will be discussed. Synergy between experimental and computational results will be discussed.
