An introduction to photochemistry with a focus on current catalytic applications. The course will focus on the fundamental concepts of photochemistry and light-induced chemistry of common organic functional groups. Modern applications of photochemistry in catalysis involving transition metals, semiconductors, supramolecular materials, and nanomaterials will also be discussed.
