CHEM 452

BioOrganic Chemistry II

Lec 10, Lec 10 and Lec 10 selected

Continuing from CHEM 255, this course will provide a detailed examination of the chemical mechanisms which underly a variety of advanced enzymatic reactions including redox, carbon-carbon bond formation and free-radical chemistry. A specific focus will be placed on protein structure, amino-acid chemistry and its role in catalysis. The experimental protocols used to study and elucidate these mechanisms will also be explored.
