Medicinal Chemistry

This course examines the chemical basis for modern pharmaceuticals. Topics include the drug development process, receptors, drug interaction, pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics and quantitative structure activity relationships. Chemical properties and mode of action of common drugs will be discussed, along with the experimental techniques used to study them.
