ST: Cinema and Ecology

The topic for 2026-2027 is The Living World on Screen: Francophone Cinema and Ecology. This course adopts an interdisciplinary approach to ecological concerns by exploring them through Francophone cinema. It expands the definition of ecology to include various viewpoints and perspectives. The goal is not only to address environmental matters, but also to explore their interplay with contemporary societal trends and to integrate these themes into film analysis. Three credits.
