MATH 101

This course surveys topics from diverse areas of mathematics, including problem solving, set theory, logic, historical numeration systems, and number theory. Students will solve problems using processes such as abstraction, pattern recognition, deduction and generalization. Acceptable for credit in all BA, BASc, BBA, HKIN, HNU, MUSI and NURS degrees. May only be used as an open elective in BA mathematics major and honours programs.
