SOCI 429
Climate, Land and Future
Lec 10 and Lec 10 selected
Climate, Land and Future invites students to engage climate change through Indigenous and western ways of knowing, with particular attention to colonial histories, relational accountability, and ecological futures. Guided by Mi’kmaw teachings including Etuaptmumk (Two-Eyed Seeing), Netukulimk, and M’sit No’kmaq, the course emphasizes land-based learning in Mi’kma’ki and explores how decolonial, ecological, and relational practices might prepare us to live responsibly within conditions of polycrisis and uncertainty. Credit will be granted for only one of SOCI 429 or 329.
