Students are introduced to the concepts of communication networks including various protocol layers and their service models. Students explore the topics related to the communication network design and deployment principles. Students learn error-detection and -correction techniques, flow control, congestion control, switching principles, routing essentials, network resource management, performance issues, security fundamentals, multimedia networks and wireless networks design fundamentals.
