EDAE 4100

This course introduces teacher candidates to the cross-curricular integration of drama, music, and visual arts in teaching practice to meet the needs of diverse learners. Teacher candidates engage in authentic experiences with the K-12 BC Curriculum arts through listening, appraising, performing, and creating. Teacher candidates participate in discussion and reflection that examines the issues, trends, and methodologies related to the arts in school settings and within Indigenous worldview contexts. Teacher candidates develop an appreciation for the arts within the K-12 BC education and curriculum, and its role in supporting learning.
