PSYC 2140
Introduction to Lifespan Development
Students explore key research theories, methods, and historical/contemporary findings in the field of lifespan developmental psychology. They examine the basic concepts and mechanisms inherent in the process of human development from conception to late adulthood with an emphasis on the biological, cognitive, and socioemotional changes associated with each life stage. In doing so, they consider the unique methods researchers use to investigate developmental changes at different stages of life and examine the complex process of typical human development from a biopsychosocial perspective Prerequisite PSYC 1110 and PSYC 1210 or Written permission of the instructor.
