SOCI 3700
Critical Race Theories
Lec 01 selected
Students explore the foundations of critical social theories on 'race' and racialization and examine their roles in creating social change for racial justice. Students will learn diverse theoretical approaches to the social construction of ‘race’ and racism in historical and contemporary contexts. This course encourages students to apply these theories to structural social problems and everyday racism in Canadian and global societies and use them to generate social solutions.
