ENGL 091

University preparatory course that introduces students to fiction, poetry, and drama at the Grade 12 level, preparing them for the challenges of post-secondary English courses. Development of essay-writing skills is a major component of this course. This course satisfies the Grade 12 English requirement of the B.C. Adult Graduation Diploma (adult secondary completion). -- Prerequisite -- One of the following: ENGL 081, (English 11 or any English Language Arts 11 course with a C or better), (English Studies 12, English First Peoples 12, or English 12 with a C- or better), ENGL 099, CPT score of 41 or better, or UUP department permission (assessment required). -- Corequisite -- None. -- Pre or Corequisite -- None.
