This course surveys major trends in twentieth century and contemporary literary theory. Areas of concentration may be selected from psychoanalytical theory, Marxism, feminism, structuralism and poststructuralism, postcolonial theory, new historicism, reader response theory, or indigenous writings on decolonization. -- Prerequisite -- One of the following: (ENGL 200 and one 300-level English course) or (any two 300-level English courses). -- Corequisite -- None -- Pre or Corequisite -- None
