NURS 495

Students will explore the area of oncology nursing care and practice while examining concepts of cancer care and the lived cancer experience. Case studies and discussion will focus on carcinogenesis, treatment modalities, ethical concerns, and nursing care requirements. Note: Students with credit for NURS 491C cannot take this course for further credit. -- Prerequisite -- Admission to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing and 60 credits of NURS and/or HSC. Note: Students admitted to a Bachelor of Nursing program at another B.C. post-secondary institution with 60 credits of NURS or equivalent can contact the School of Health Studies for permission to register. -- Corequisite -- None -- Pre or Corequisite -- None
