Students gain experiential understanding and application of concepts and tools of family therapy to enhance their existing counselling skills and to increase awareness of self in a relational context. The impact of diversity, changing cultural, economic and socio-political contexts on couples and families is evaluated. Ethical principles and values in clinical decision-making are considered.
