A practical approach to the perception of musical sound in meaningful patterns for the more advanced beginner student. Specifically, to develop the student's singing and rhythm performance, transcription, and critical listening skills through melodies based on pentatonic and diatonic scales. Prerequisite(s): Music 1162 OR 70% or higher on the aural skills placement assessment
