The MA thesis should pose and examine a significant development question in a way that demonstrates critical thinking, an understanding of the relevant literature, and the ability to conduct systematic research. In preparation for the thesis, a research proposal is to be drafted for approval by a supervisory committee. An oral defence of the thesis is required. This is a PASS/FAIL course.
