Numeracy Foundations in the Elementary Years

This course develops the foundations to design, teach, and assess all areas of numeracy (number sense, computational fluency, patterns, geometry and measurement, and data and probability) during the elementary years. Teacher candidates explore learner-centred, experiential, and inquiry-based teaching methods. Confidence in teaching mathematics is generated by integrating individual interests. Graded on a PASS/FAIL basis.
