This course develops the foundation to design, teach, and assess the processes and skills in the arts curriculum (dance, drama, music, and visual arts) during the elementary years. Teacher candidates explore how to integrate art throughout the curriculum as well as nurture individual expression, motivation, imagination, and creativity while developing students’ understanding of global cultures, artistic symbolism, and cultural appropriation. Graded on a PASS/FAIL basis.
