Organic Chemistry I

This course introduces students to the structure and reactivity of hydrocarbons and functional groups, stereochemistry, aromaticity, nucleophilicity and electrophilicity, basic types of organic reactions and the application of spectroscopy to structure elucidation. Three lecture hours and three hours laboratory a week. NOTE: Credit cannot be obtained for both Chemistry 2410 and Chemistry 2430.
