The Beginnings of Drama

This course will introduce students to early examples of plays by studying a variety of Ancient Greek, Ancient Roman, and Medieval dramas. The course will explore the plays as examples of the foundations upon which all dramatic literature is created. The course will also explore the theatre history related to the periods and its influence on the plays.
