This course covers the basic types of measurement of many fundamental physical phenomena, including time, distance, displacements, speed, rates, force, flow, temperature, pressure, stress and strain, and frequency. Calibration, accuracy, trueness, and precision of a measurement method are defined. The focus is on understanding ways to sense physical parameters. This course has a significant lab component.
