Intro to Journalism and Media

This course introduces students to the key concepts in media studies. The economic,social, political, and cultural contexts of modern media will be examined and analyzed. It will also consider the relationship between power, information and identity. Finally, this course will provide students with practical skills in news reporting, using the experiential learning model. 3 credit hours
