Critical Perspectives of Assessment
Assessment and evaluation are complex, highly politicized and often divisive issues within and beyond the educational sphere. This course will enable pre-service teachers to explore and critically examine assessment methods/practices and the philosophies and policies, which inform them, reconceptualizing assessment as a transformative pedagogical act. *Note: Students may only receive credit for one of ECS 401 and ECS 410.* Section information text: Restricted to Education Students. Online Offered Course. Students must register for Lecture (010) and Seminar (011-017) All pre-internship courses are scheduled to accommodate the 3 week block (March 08-25). Pre-internship courses will start January 06, 2027 then break from March 08-25 and lecture to resume from March 29-April 12, 2027
