ENGL 817AN

This course will forefront literary representations of "abnormal" embodiment, through illness and disability, to interrogate the presumed coherence of the normal/pathological binary. Students will engage with works, including illness narratives, novels, scholarly articles, video games and more, that reposition pathology as a sociohistorical experience rather than merely a bodily state. *Note: Students may receive credit for one of ENGL 817AN or ENGL 480AN.*
