EPSY 838
Multiple Ways of Healing
This course blends theory and practice to support multiple ways of healing with an emphasis on Indigenous perspectives. Students learn to disrupt the socially constituted separation between human and more-than human beings and move towards an ecological consciousness that identifies animals, plants, and land as key partners in the healing process. *Note: Students may receive credit for one of EPSY 838 or EPSY 870AC.* Section information text: Pre-reading available . Restricted To EPSY Students. Remote meetings (Tuesday and Thursday evenings) will be conducted via Zoom and in-Person meetings (Saturday afternoons) will be land-based (i.e., located off-campus). Students may require formal accommodations to physically access land-based location sites. Students will be exposed to domestic livestock animals and wild grassland habitats and must have the appropriate insurance for these activities through the university.
