This practicum course provides students with a supervised field placement in a professional counselling setting. Students must engage in a minimum of 350/400 hours of direct client counselling, participate in weekly seminar-based case conferencing, and receive at least 25 hours of clinical supervision, including 10 hours of direct supervision, as per the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) standards. The course includes group and individual supervision, case presentation, and reflective practice to integrate theoretical knowledge with clinical experience.
