ESC 880AD

This course will cover the advanced use of geomodelling and GIS techniques in geological sciences including advanced material in analysis, geostatistics and modeling. It wil provide a practical hand-on approach to spatial database design and spatial data analysis with geomodelling. The focus of the course will be on concepts and strategies rather than on specific software tools.The content wil be organized around the following topics (but not limited to): alteration and structural mapping, exploration geochemistry and geophysics, mineral exploration, remote sensing,hydrology and mineral prospectively modeling. *Note: Students may receive credit for one of ESC 880AD or GEOL 880AD.*
