Disability Sport and Recreation

This course will focus on disability sport and adaptive recreation. Parasport history and growth, movement biomechanics, coaching development, athlete activism, ableism/disablism in inclusive settings are discussed. Opportunities to plan, facilitate and engage alongside peers and athletes in adaptive sports will help students identify and appreciate meaningful and diverse movement patterns. ***
