Gas power cycles are considered using an air-standard analysis. Exergy concepts are examined including closed and open system exergy balances, exergy destruction, and exergetic efficiencies. One-dimensional compressible pipe flow with friction and heat transfer is examined. Combustion and chemical equilibrium are also considered.
