Biology is essentially a practical subject and this course introduces students to fundamental lab and field skills, investigative techniques, analysis and presentation of data in the context of understanding and communicating science to various audiences. Critical thinking and self-disciplined learning is fostered as students develop competencies in formulating hypotheses, gathering and assessing information, experimental design, oral, written, and visual communication, and creative problem solving. <br>
