Adv Corporate Finance
Lec A selected
This course discusses three main decisions made by managers at a level deeper than the introductory course in corporate finance. 1) Investment decisions. We will apply a variety of corporate valuation models to assess potential investments. 2) Financing decisions. All firms must compete in a marketplace for scarce capital. We will cover the theories of capital structure and the implications. 3) Payout decisions. We will discuss the pros and cons of alternative payout policies and the trade-off between dividends and repurchasing shares. Finally, the course also discusses some special corporate finance topics, including, for example, agency costs.
