Modern World History

Lec A selected

The world we live in is the result of centuries of upheaval, innovation, and exchange. This course traces how encounters among peoples, ideas, and technologies transformed every corner of the world. Topics will include the rise of global trade as well as colonial and anti-colonial movements at international, national, and local levels. Students will examine how modernity itself has been imagined, challenged, and redefined across regions. Emphasis is placed on voices from diverse regions and perspectives, encouraging students to see modern history as an interconnected story rather than a Western narrative. {G}
