MU461 provides an introduction to post-tonal theory. It explores the application of post-tonal theoretical concepts to analysis of post-tonal and twelve-tone music dating from the first half of the twentieth century. The course introduces pitch-class set theory and facilitates acquisition of skill in pitch-class set analysis. <br> <br><font color="crimson">
