Exposure to potentially dangerous, harmful, or stressful situations can be an inherent part of the work done by Public Safety Personnel (PSP), which includes paramedics. The stressful exposures mean that PSP are more likely to experience symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or other mental health injuries than the general population. In addition to psychological stressors, there are also factors that impact the physical health of paramedics, including injury, pain, shift work. This course is intended to provide students with an array of tools, training, and knowledge to support their psychological and physical health, wellness and resilience. <br>
