PO 389C
Public Inquiry
Lec A selected
Governments and their agencies face complex and often unexpected challenges (fires, floods, pandemics, and unrest). To respond, and make meaningful and rational decisions, public bodies have a variety of tools: Inquiries, Inquests, and Investigations. The intention of this course is to give students a critical understanding of these options and how they can participate effectively as decision-makers, representatives, and stakeholders. This will be achieved by examining the differences between Public Inquiries, Coroner’s Inquests, and ad hoc investigations.
