This seminar examines how the world’s political economy has changed in the past decade, and challenges students to craft strategies to meet challenges. It focuses on the analysis of changes to political systems, including global Trumpism, their impact on the shift away from liberal institutions to resurgent great power politics, and efforts by countries like Canada to forge new strategies to protect themselves. It also analyses the transformation of key technologies and how they impact global power relations as well as markets.
