A Trauma-Informed Approach to Intercultural Competencies introduces students to the field of intercultural communication in order to recognize the challenges faced by public safety officials when engaging with individuals from diverse backgrounds who have suffered trauma. Topics include: Trauma; memory studies; trauma discourse; post-traumatic shock disorder; intercultural communication; critical race theory; and resilience. <br> <br>
