This course provides students with a theoretical foundation of psychological assessment. It will explore the importance of psychological assessment in applied settings and the cross-cultural,ethical, and social issues involved in assessment. This course will also provide students with a clear understanding of the DSM IV-TR (and the impending DSM V) as tools for understanding the psychological, social and biological contributors to mental health disorders. In addition, this course will allow students to understand the process of treatment formulation and recognize the indications for psychological assessment and referral. <br> <br><font color="crimson">
