The focus of this studio is on examining the relationship between viewer and object from various cultural perspectives. Projects integrate inquiries into theoretical issues with practices such as relief, sculpture-in-the-round, assemblage, kinetic and performance art. Thematic assignments encourage examination of traditional and contemporary objects, myths and stories, representations of the body, clothing, masks, and the carnivalesque. This course is restricted to students in the Yukon School of Visual Arts
