Introduction to Chemistry I

This course introduces the basic principles of chemistry: matter and energy, measurement; atomic theory and the periodic table, chemical formulas and calculations, chemical bonding, liquids and solids, and solutions, molarities, stoichiometry, titration and hydro carbons. Includes eight laboratory sessions. Co-requisite(s): MATH 11 with algebra or MATH 051 or MATH 050. *Students must also register in the mandatory lab component of the course, CHEM 050L.
