Teaching Mathematics in Elementary School

This course is designed to address the philosophies, goals, curriculum documents, and methods of instruction and assessment of elementary and middle school (PreK to 8) mathematics. A critical, resource-based approach to this course will provide opportunities for students to reflect on and construct understandings of key issues in mathematics education. PREREQUISITE: None This course is restricted to students in the YNTEP and BEAD programs
