This course focuses on understanding the construct of "disability". We will look at the writings of people with disabilities and use their self-accounts to develop a cultural understanding of disability. With this information in mind, the course concentrates on methods of working with students whose performance differs from the established norm. PREREQUISITES: Successful completion of EFLD 311. This course is restricted to students in the YNTEP and BEAD programs
